Man Transforms Into A Goat

This news definitely qualifies to get posted under "Strange News" category.
Vanguard, one of the biggest daily newspapers in Nigeria, reported in its front-page that police implicated a goat
in an attempted automobile theft case.
The policemen briefed that when they tried to corner down the two men, who were trying to
steal a Mazda car, one of them escaped while the other suspect literally transformed himself into a Goat.
The newspaper also reported that the policemen produced the goat before journalists and later published
a picture of the suspect. In our case it is a goat.
Nigerians have a strong belief in Black Magic, especially in the remote rural areas.
I'm very eager to know the police department's plan for interrogating this suspect.

Know The Big Picture

One of the main reason people under perform in their jobs is that they don't know WHY they are doing it in the first place.
It is very important to have the BIG PICTURE of the work we do, to become successful.
An analogy to this principle is provided from our own system - The human body.
Red blood cell's work, is to take oxygen to other cells in the body.
In this nonstop activity the red blood cell is not depleted but in fact nourished by its work.
Red blood cells contain DNA code for the entire body just to carry out this single specific task.
Some scientists theorize that, perhaps the red blood cell KNOWS the
function of the whole, it can be content in its task and perform it without exhaustion.
This shows that even the least part of the body performs best when it KNOWS the map of the whole thing.

Good Manners Cost Lives of More Britons

A recent study conducted by Australian economist David Savage found that a lot of Britons would have died because of good manners, while many Americans survived because they were pushy.
Good manners are based on consideration for other people, shows one's character as a civilized behavior.
Sometimes you opt for not using it to save some life by frightening the passing vehicle to stop for help.
The study definitely raised a valid question of wise use of good manners for others and us.
What do you think huh..?

King's Dream Has Come True

Martin Luther King, a prominent leader in the American civil rights movement.
Inspired by Mahatma Gandhi's success with non-violent activism, King went along the route of non-violence in his legacy to secure progress on civil rights in the United States.
In his most famous speech "I Have a Dream", given in front of the Lincoln Memorial during the 1963 March on Washington, expressed his desire for a future where blacks and whites, among others, would coexist harmoniously as equals and not to be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.

Today, January 20, 2009, King's dream has come true when Barack Obama becomes the first African-American President in the history of the United States after more than 200 years of Independence.
He addressed the nation saying that it must choose "hope over fear, unity of purpose over conflict and discord" to overcome the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression in 1929.

Circuit City Is Closed

Circuit city, one of the largest retailer in the consumer electronics was severely hit by the recession and decided to
close all its store in United States last Friday, January 16th 2009.
This would cost another 34,000 to lose their job in this bad economy.
It is very bad to hear this retailer giant closing its operations in all locations.
Today, I just went to their website www.circuitcity.com and learned that their home page has turned into
nothing but a frequently asked questions (FAQ) page, to answer questions about the warranty purchased or about the future of the company.
A great saga of more than 50 years in consumer electronics has come to an end :-(

$100 Trillion Bill

Zimbabwe issued a $100 trillion bill today (January 16th, 2009) to combat its hyperinflation.
This new 100,000,000,000,000 Zimbabwean Dollar bill is currently worth about 300 US Dollars OR 225 Euros.
Zimbabwe got independence from British in 1980 and 1 Zim-dollar was worth of about 1.5 US Dollars then.
The Zimbabwean economy collapsed since the introduction of land reforms in 1998,
to re-distribute the farm lands from white farmers to blacks.
The international sanctions imposed by Western Countries for its transition to democracy,
created a severe impact to the already collapsed economy leading to hyperinflation and devaluation of the Zimbabwean Dollar.

Fast and Flawless Rescue Prevents Serious Disaster

The quick and perfect rescue operation prevented a major mishap, when US Airways Flight 1549 landed into Hudson river, New York with 155 passengers on January 15th 2009.
All praises goes to the rescue members next to the pilot Mr. Sullenberger 57, who is with US Airways since 1980.
His effort to save the passengers and other crew members would have gone pointless if the rescue operation failed to do its part.
Everything was in favor of the passengers right from the flight take off except the bird strike.
  • It happened within 3 minutes from the take off.
  • Pilot had the option of landing the flight on Hudson river.
  • Even though both engines failed, hydraulic powers didn't failed which helped in safe landing instead of just dropping like a rock on the earth.
  • The baggage compartment had the pressure which helped the flight to float.
  • Commercial ferries arrived immediately.
Today not only those 155 passengers were lucky but also their families, friends and rest of the world.

Think Positive

Always think positive when doing something or while trying to achieve anything.
This gives you more strength to work towards the goal and also keep you fresh.
To achieve something that you have never had, you have to do something that you have not done so far.
When God takes something from you, don't think as bad luck instead GOD is
merely making your hands free to receive something better.
"The will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you".
So be positive and work towards your goal rather than wilting.

The Bourne Series

The Bourne series - I would definitely rate it among the top 20 movies that I have watched so far.
The series has three parts "The Bourne Identity" (2002), "The Bourne Supremacy" (2004) and "The Bourne Ultimatum" (2007).
This film is like watching James Bond movie but with more speed and end
to end action.
There is no time for a love scene like typical Bond movie.
The series unfolds the plot of people misusing the intelligence services.
I don't want to give too much information away.
Watch the movie to have the fun of the experiencing some great actions pictured across European countries, India and United States .
Overall it is a great entertaintment movie which should not missed

Getting Fat for Marriage

We all have heard about marriage makeovers; where couples undergo physical makeover starting from 3 to 6 months before the big day.
In some cases this might get start well before one year from the wedding.
Couples undergo this makeover to reduce their weight to look great during their wedding day.
This so true to the rest of the world except for a community in Nigeria.
Here the girl has to gain at least 30 pounds in order to get acknowledged by the community, that she is ready for the marriage. For this makeover she will be taken to a separate place where all the girls will be given special massage treatment and high carbohydrate content food. Only her parents are allowed to visit during this period.

Human Hair

I'm very concerned about my hair and its style.
This made me to understand more about it and to learn some of natural ways to get a long and thick hair.
Normal growth rate of hair is 0.5 mm per day.
To get a thick and long hair consider the following.
  • Hot oil massage.
  • Deep Conditioning.
  • Don't use hot water while shampooing.
  • Use mild shampoos.
  • Have good protein diet.
Other facts:
Hair can be straight, wavy, curly, or 'kinky,' and over the time this might change.
Health and youth of a person can be revealed from his/her hair.
Recently it was found that it can be used as a good fertilizer to grow crops.
